Camp Wokanda Anniversary

Our Historical Society members participated in an Anniversary weekend at Camp Wokanda on the weekend of April 13-14, 2013.  On Saturday, Cathy Lane and her group hosted a "one day of service" with some 450 Scouts and Scouters contributing service to the camp.  Our Historical Society members set up a Camp Wokanda Museum for their viewing.  On Sunday, the Museum was open to the public.  We had a nice turnout, thanks to Craig Bannister for bringing out the Camp Wokanda Staff totems for viewing; Wilbur Williamson, Mike Stobaugh, Dan Wilcoxen, Dwayne Brewer, Jim Stuttle, and Steve Cantrell for setting up displays.  The Peoria Journal Star featured an article in their Monday paper.
